Had a great interview with Ryan Star today. You may remember him from Rockstar - Supernova. He's a local guy living here in NYC and just sold out last night at the Bowery Ball Room. Check out his website at www.rstar.net. We''ll air it tomorrow, and a video link to the interview as well as a couple of his songs he performed for us should be up soon here: http://www.fresh1027.com/pages/2435621.php. Really great guy, and turns out he lives in downtown Manhattan near the new Whole Foods on Houston... and knows the crossing guard at my kids school in Nolita! Small world.
Well, the procrastination is over… the blog is here…
Typical Day: Up at 3:30am. On the air at Fresh 102.7 in NYC at 5am. Off the air at 10am. Into the studio at about 11am to record voiceovers for radio and TV stations across North America. Out to pick up the kids from school at 2:30. Then, take them to Piano, or gymnastics at Chelsea Pier etc. Back into the studio to record more voiceovers from 4pm-5:30pm. Lights out at 8:30pm.
So about waking up at 3:30… yes it sucks, till you realize that you’re doing it because you have the best job in the world! Then… not so bad.
